Our
Project

The Bogalusa Solar Energy Project is a collaborative fit for Washington Parish. The project is located on private land with full support of local landowners. It provides stable lease income to landowners and long-term tax benefits to the community, all while providing locally generated, lower-cost energy for Washington Parish.

An Ideal Location

The Bogalusa Solar project is proposed to be located entirely on private property, at the discretion of the landowner. The host landowner owns the project site and the nearby surrounding land, allowing for thoughtful planning and preservation of the area’s viewsheds.

The project location has been carefully planned to respect the surrounding environment. Only about one-third of the total project area will be developed, leaving the remaining two-thirds untouched.

Existing mature tree stands surrounding the site will remain in place and additional, extensive vegetative buffering ensure the project is not visible from nearby roads or residences.
